"Emancipation"

On this date in 1996, Prince invited 600 media

people and other guests to his Paisley Park studio in Minneapolis

for a preview of his triple-CD, "Emancipation." The album was his

first since leaving Warner Brothers Records. The album was released

a week after the media event.

So what do you think of the songs on the CD's? Still rock or never play them?

Just listened to the entire thing 2 days ago. I was specifically digging the instrumental breakdown at the end of "Da Da Da".

"New Power slide...."

Playing it now. It'll be the next cd I'll review on Swa's threads.

Cd 3 seemed to be my favourite.

Me no likey.

There's the odd song on there that I dig, but I don't find it worth putting the album on to get at 'em.

Sorry if I'm a buzz-kill, but it's the way I feel.
