Stange Relationship...

What's up Purple Party People!

I am ashamed 2 admit this, but I just recently heard Prince and the Revolution live version of "Strange Relationship", I believe it was an after show in August of 86". I have to say, that I really liked The Revolutions take on this song more than the SOTT/Lovesexy Band...this version was very soulful and I liked Prince's piano playing through out the song, I also liked how the band and Prince incorporated "Last Heart" in there for good measure. And speaking of Soulful, later on in the boot Prince did HIS version of Al Green's "Can't get next to you" and although Eric Leads and the rest of The Revolution did a GREAT JOB musically on Al's song, it was just to soulful for Prince. It was like when Trey Songz tried to sing Purple Rain at the BET awards...just didn't work...Al Green sings Al Green songs best and Prince can only be...PRINCE.

Peace Purple Headz,
