Dudes, I'm not trying to be a hater, but the beat on this song is WEAK, and Princes rapping is laughable.

It's funny, but Prince's earlier raps on tracks like Girls and Boys came off WWAAAYYYY better than his more modern attempts at rap (with the exception of the rap on I&C).

At least it actually sound different than the rest of 20ten

Sure, the beat is OK, the guitar stuff is really cool (stunning at times!), but Prince's lame rapping combined with the lady screaming "You gotta lay it down!" over and over again just kills the track for me. Could have been a great track, but it is not in its current form...

Yeah I might give Laydown, the song a 9/10,

the 20Ten album about 7/10

I don't know what you mean about "5 minutes later", I think I had a break from the Org for about 4-5 weeks,

but, the "new" 20Ten album - and the 2 concerts in Forum and Herning has "relighted my fire".

I just wrote "show some positivity for once" - only because I can't recall you, Vitriol, have ever written something positive here on the Org. I could be wrong, I just don't remember...

Whatever - I love Laydown, and the fanmade ext. remix is even better, imo.

I wrote many positive things.

It's just that we might not have the same concept of positivity...

I loved the song and had it on constant replay when I first it. The attitude in it reminds me of Face Down, but that has more edge
