She co wrote slow love and was the first choice to play the female lead in Purple Rain. The only other thing I know about her is that she was a Penthouse Pet in 1983. I can't find one picture of her on the net. Does anyone have any pics of her or can describe what she looks like?

The photos on the pages are rather small, but the woman pictured definitely looks like Penthouse material and has a similiar look as Apollonia, and I could easily imagine her as being considered for the part in PR.

I think that's her in the photos. I met her this past summer at a yard sale in the Hollywood Hills. I was rescuing ATWIAD and The Glamorous Life from a box of vinyl. She asked if I was a fan of Prince, then told me she wrote a song for him. She told me her name, Carole Rafaelle Davis, and I said, "Slow Love?"

We spoke for a few minutes. She was very friendly, seemed interested in dishing. I'm not too good at physical descriptions, but she's a Prince standard -- petite and darkish features.

I've never heard her name in connection to Purple Rain. Interesting.

She made a Album back in 88 or 89 with Nile Rodgers Producing.She also had Her Version of "Slow Love" on the Album.
