I remember back during the Purple Rain era, P used to travel around with a big bearded Hells Angel body guard name Chick. Chick was with him at all the award shows at that time. I even saw Chick carrying P around like a small child soetimes. Since Chick has passed, I haven't seen P with real close body guards. Is P much safer now than he was in the P.R era or does he still have body guards that we just don't see?

Yes he does for his personal safety. All celebs do. Too many weirdos out there.

She may of wanted to hump him or was out of control, but it could of ended badly if she laid her hands on him.

The problem is that celebrities can't defend themselves either. If they give someone a slap, they'll be sued for damages, even if they're in the right, because they are perceived to be rich.

Back during the Love tour, I've always thought something would potentially happen when P allowed audience members on the stage while performing Baby I'm A Star. Even at the 1985 Grammys when he performed that very song, audience members were on stage towards the end of the song and P looked very vulnerable. Chick was off stage as P exited.

Thank you very much for explaining! Goodness, that was not a nice incident! How unpleasant for Prince! I have thought about how easy it would be for someone to jump on / attack Prince in any way when he has all those people on stage, as he has been doing at the concerts this year!

I think it is great that he does invite the fans to come onstage, but still ... he is putting himself in a vulnerable position.

And about the bodyguards, I had actually been wondering the same thing because in photos that were taken of Prince this year, off stage, I have not seen one where someone was with him who would look like a bodyguard!

There was also another incident at the 3121 Club, in the Rio Hotel, in Las Vegas in 2007, during the opening weekend of the 3121 Club. There was this girl who got up on stage, while Prince was singing, and she just walked up and put her arms around him. Everyone was stunned, and asking "Where are Prince's bodyguards?" No bodyguard was close enough to get this girl off of Prince.

Prince tried being nice, and removing her arms from around him, but she put her arms back around him. You could tell he was getting pissed off, but trying to remain cool at the same time, but then he turned around and looked at her and said, "Don't you have some kids at home?" Then finally, his bodguard made it up on stage, and pulled and lifted that crazy girl off Prince, and carried her ass off the stage. Not sure if they threw her out after that, but it was kind of scary how she just walked across the stage towards Prince, and no one stopped her in time.

I don't know about big sweet teddy bear, Chick was a Hell's Angel back in the day. He even turned against P at one point. He said in an Entertainment Live interview that he thought Prince was confused because you can't state that you believe strongly in God but get on stage and do Satans work in music. That big bible that chick is holding was given to him by P.
