Fair point, but on bootlegs you can skip the songs and during a concert the audience usually goes crazy during the hits, so you can party anyway.
But I guess it was just that 1000th pessimistic thread on the org that bothered me... I sometimes feel some people in here should be grateful Prince still does concerts. With this fanbase, I would have stopped long time ago!
Never mind, just pretend I didn't say anything [Edited 11/13/10 9:51am] You mean you're gonna actually hear what we play tonight? You're not gonna make up the notes in your mind?

it's cute however not as funky as america, pop life, tambourine man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

lol damn girl ..don't burn my sheet music lol man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

again if ur fed the same thing over and over wouldn't u get sick of hearing it all the time. as much music as in the vaults and other songs from his albums that are loved by fans, then he can drop a lot of those hits and play other songs man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

yes on a bootleg u can do that but not while attending the concert. so what's the point of going 2 a concert if u want 2 hit skip all the time? man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Never thought of it that way, but tend to agree with you. I suppose it's our own fault for attending as many shows as possible and seeking out the boot recordings. Some fault does go to Prince though, for not promoting the new albums when he tours, dating back to the tours for Emancipation. TRUE BLUE

I wouldn't mind if he'd retire Sinead's hit ''Nothing Compares 2U''

'Raspberry Beret' is just one of those songs that I didn't like from the first time I heard it. I feel the same way about Madonna's 'Ray of Light'; Michael Jackson's 'In The Closet', Britney Spears' 'Oops I Did It Again', and that awful Trey Songz 'The Neighbors Know My Name'. Everybody has a song or songs that they hate after first listen whether it's from their favorite artist or not and 'Raspberry Beret' is that song for me from Prince. Fanatics don't question their favorite artists; real fans do; and, ATWIAD was not a great album from the opinion of one serious Prince fan but like you said, 'Tastes sure are different' and like I always say 'Different strokes for different folks'. It's okay not to like everything your favorite artist puts out. In fact, it's actually healthy and sane. Prince Rogers Nelson

I'm gonna go with NC2U. Although I thought he for once did a killer version of it with Candy on the Musicology show, I don't really enjoy the rollin out my #1 hit way he has of doing it.

I'd say Purple Rain, but that's just not gonna happen. Not in this life, anyway. I myself would personally like to see 1999 go away. It was amazing before 2000, and now that all of that stuff has come and gone, 1999 really doesn't seem to "fit" anymore...or at least that's the way I feel anyway. Love the song, love the album, but it's time to put it away forever. "I never want to stop singing this song!" Prince in Montreal, 12/2/11, just before performing Purple Rain
