Speculate on the content of the W2A shows I'm thinking Prince will open the show to get things rolling, do 4 or 5 songs and then bring one of the guests onstage. Pretty sure Prince's band will be doing the backup for these other artists, since there won't be that much time in the night to keep changing equipment and no soundcheck, unless the other bands use his equipment. I think it will go back and forth, between Prince and whatever guests throughout the whole show, then Prince will close it with a few numbers. I would expect a hit ridden show. Your takes??? Sounds like a possiblity. I presume America and Dreamer will be in the setlist. Maybe he won't play too many hits as Esperanza and Janelle are younger or he'll do exactly that for the older audience. I'm interested to see how they're going to blend the music styles. Now hearing that these guests will help in performing his own songs, a la BET tribute. I was thinking that the guests would be doing their own material. Makes more sense this way. TRUE BLUE |

I'm guessing I will enjoy the shows more if the other performers are doing Prince songs...probably hits. Though a song or 2 of their own music will be fine. I'd like it if Prince did his own newer songs alone. Or at least toss it up and throw in something like "Thieves in the Temple" or something random like that! I know this is a soul/r&b/funk show...so I'm hoping to hear great songs like "Call My Name," "Baby Knows," and "Musicology..." I'm really hoping for them at least!!!
Whatever he sings, as the days go by, I'm really getting excited!!! Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol | |
