Just wondering if any of you can actually sing like Prince? As his range is so broad, which register do you prefer? I've been told my falsetto is pretty spot on but my tenor just doesn't sound quite right. Do you think his voice is difficult to imitate?

no i dont think he's difficult to imitate, it depends on the versatility of your voice, but its important to find your own voice as well.

The only voice i am really good at is when ever Prince does a volseetto song voice like "Kiss". and a lot of people says whenever i sing a slow Michael Jackson song, they say i really sound like him.

These are my top 5 volseetto voice Prince song that i do really good at : I do all of them really good at it too, so there is no first, second, etc.

4) Mountains

5) I feel for U

Honestly, I don't think it's possible for anyone to even come close to mimicking Prince. He has his own unique vocal style(s) and, as bigbrother said, his range is very broad.

I really like to sing along to Call My Name, lol. It's not particularly one of my absolute favorites, though I do think it's a great song. I just like to sing along to it.

i'm inspired to sing along and dress up as him and post it to youyube...eventually...i'd have to learn all the dance moves for something.

Thanks! Yeah, it's always a rude awakening when I actually hear myself sing. The same goes for my sopeaking voice but especially when I'm singing. I actually think I can pull of something like "Under the Cherry Moon" though. The vocals are somewhat low and restrained.
