I'm guessing it's a matter of humor and genius.

Charlie Chaplin's genius was in how good he was at playing with emotions. I think it's a flattering comparison by Miles because he knew how Prince was able to do the same thing with his music.

On a separate subject, I love the Omnibus interview where he said that there something that white people didn't understand about him (Prince). lol

There's definitely a connection between Prince and Chaplin, in the form of art, the way they can generate tenderness and passion at the same time

i noticed that too, and the shoes 'he' is wearing seem out of place - are they from the 1920's?

they dont come up when i google images of shoes from that era, or maybe i didnt look far enough?

he looks like a man dressed as a woman in a mish-mash of fashion from different eras.

I'm not sure what he meant when he said Prince reminded him of Charlie Chaplin, but the two have been said to look alike. There was a thread about two years ago about it, but I can't find it.
