Thanks. I know I'm in the minority around here but I like 20Ten and look forward (hopefully) to a deluxe edition release.

I'm sure a double album was a possibility at some point along the line, but when there is no info about it and the only people who mention it are someone who hears it 2nd or 3rd hand and a French radio DJ... It wouldn't surprise me if it took so long for that info to trickle down that Prince is lightyears beyond 20TEN. Not that it being almost November would necessarily dissuade Prince from releasing an album called 20TEN (1st u c DA FONK n NoW u C da deluXXX praise goodies! check ur Thanksgiving Blurkey ~ it might b stuffed w/ da JAMZ).

He put you through the ringer once with this drivel, but in the end, the sadomasochisticgroovmesiter was wise enough to keep the x-tended versions of Everybody Loves Me (Dubs n Hugs Mix) and whatever the name was of that club monstrosity which closed the album, locked in the vault, hopefully salvaging a bit of his fading critical reputation in the process.

When was the last time you went to a Prince concert? I've been to several in the last few years - and listened to more - and haven't heard him do any "preaching."

with mj's album coming out next month, i doubt he'll put it out this year..

See what happens with the upcoming tour. The CDs might be exclusively sold at the shows. Prob. trying to find a distributor in the US.

I wouldn't count on 2010Deluxe being a concert freebee.

He gave away albums during the Musicology Tour and during the O2 residency, which was only about three years ago, so relatively that can be considered as quite recent. I'm not entirely sure how it would benefit him, but I suppose it'll give the album more exposure, or something along those lines.

you mean there is none that you accept. Also lack of accessible evidence is not the same as no evidence. AND lack of evidence is not evidence that it is not coming out.

what we have is the word of some people that have something to lose by making up a story. In fact I would suggest that they are taking a risk reporting the encounter as Prince is known change his mind. As he made several claims (at least one not consistent with existing laws) it is pretty safe to say that at least one of them will not happen or be shown to be untrue.

but based on 20ten i am not interested in a regular edition much less a deluxe unless it is shorter! (ok that was wrong)

He hasn't released or distributed the CD in the US. I'm speculating the deluxe versions will be for sale at the concerts. The single disc? Maybe he'll do another giveaway.

I think you are missing the point. Bart is looking at cold hard facts and taking Prince's flakiness into consideration. YOU seem to want to believe, really strongly, this concept of 20TEN deluxe being released despite any actual official mentions of it. Especially when Prince's so called words were totally debunked on the issue of copyright laws - which shows he doesn't get it now and he probably never has.

I understand Militant knows someone who worked on the 20TEN deluxe sessions. That's lovely. However, it doesn't mean shit in the world of Prince because he's stopped releases as they sit on the docks, much less disregard releasing a project he hasn't mentioned in any official capacity.
