Prince is such a fantastic & excellent guitarist we all know that,

Prince is "the modern day Jimi Hendrix"...

here: are some errors which has been "hunting me" for a long time:

1) Lovesexy Dortmund 1988, during the Anna Stesia song Prince is going to play the solo on the white "Alphabet Street Guitar", but this guitar is dead..... sad, how brilliant this song would had been with this solo, on this amazing and rare played guitar !!

2) One Nite Alone aftershow Live in club Vega, Copenhagen Denmark 2002, during The Question Of U, the solo is cut short, cuz the guitar is suddenly dead. I was there and I remember Prince handed the guitar to the technician while the band just played on... (on the Sabotage bootleg, the guitar dying is at 2:58 - The Question Of U), the actual solo is only about 10 secs long: I 100% sure Prince was about to play a fierce solo, that never happened. DAMN. Still it's an absolut brilliant show.

Maybe you can name more technical errors with guitar solo's.. happening in Prince's long career....

It's just that I thought by 'error' you meant him playing the wrong chords or notes, as opposed to what I suppose could be referred to as 'technical issues'.

I think the point Vict0r was trying to make was that these were actually technical issues and not really "errors" as if Prince played a sour note, or in the wrong key.

How about this ....... Prince: Technical problems with his guitars at 2 shows (Lovesexy 1988 & One Nite Alone: Vega 2002) ???

Then people will know it's to do with guitar issues gone wrong during performances.

If it were the guitars with the EMG's maybe the battery died.

Wendy had problems with her white telecaster when she played with P at the Musicology Show in New Orleans.

His guitar cut out during "rock lobster" after anotherloverholenyohead at the Indigo aftershow 28th August 2007.

It was the blue strat and it just clean cut straight out Prince danced to the sid eof the stage giving the guitar tech a filthy look. He then jokingly went to throw it in the crowd and then didn't.

Cora kept playing untill the guitar got fixed and then the gig continued
