I'm not a 20TEN fan really, but the songs from that album being played at the recent Euro shows are sounding ok.

The Copenhagen aftershow is a good recording, did not expect any less from the FBG guys anyway.

There is the FBG Copenhagen 20TEN 4 disc release, which is the main show and aftershow, and there is also the recent Herning show available too. This is a joint venture between Freddie G and FBG who have done some tweaking. It's not an official FBG release though.

Check 'em out.

i heard it at a friend's place and i thought it was 'ok'. there was nothing about it

that made me pay close attention. some lukewarm jamming and a fairly proper

rendition of the album track in the middle of it.

coulda done with more and better bass or scratch guitar. think "black sweat",

live at the Beverly Hills hotel, in all it's 10 minute glory of bass heaven.

this whole aftershow sounded like, i don't know, kinda like the groove they had

on the Tamar shows. it's all in this rather adhd drum rhythm (i guess prince is

under the impression that this is party music?) with lots of shouting and shouts,

but with not enough actual (good) singing or melodies etc.

the jamming is cool enough but it'd be nice to hear an actual song somewhere

once in a while.

don't get me wrong tho, the execution was excellent on this one, as if is on

almost all of his shows. the band members are very very good at what they

do and they are always a joy to listen to.

the actual songs tho, they all kind of sound the same and the whole aftergig

sounds like one long jam on the same basic song.

plus 70% of it is sung by those women again

I here you, but i quite enjoyed this show.

I'm looking forward to see what these US shows bring in terms of setlist and recordings.

I think the summer Le New Morning show was bad for that (the female singers).

I really wish Shelby would go and do her own thing now, release an album, i will buy that....lol.

But i have always had a soft spot for aftershow and soundcheck recordings, so if the girls are to be a large part of those, then i'm willing to put up with them.

I downloaded this morning - but haven't had a chance to convert it and listen.

moments. i can't quite explain. like the whole "oooooh new morning" sing along etc.

but yeah, shelby has to go now. dayum. on the other hand, if shelby goes, there will be an

other girl in the band right away, singing her heart out on cover tunes.

Yeah, i have not been too keen on any of Prince's female singers.

Some one like Cat would be good, to bring a bit of visual energy back to the shows, however, i'm not too bothered either way, as long as the boots keep comming....i'm happy.

at least cat didn't grind the show to a halt to belt out a few GCS covers each night

but you're right, keep the boots coming. i'll just cut n paste what i like from them and

put the rest onto an external harddrive for possible future reference. i'm glad this stuff

is out there at all.

besides, this tour ain't over yet and, again, as you said, who knows what the us leg of

the tour will have in store for us as far as aftershows.

Keep in mind that we weren't there. The atmosphere at the aftershows is often much different than an actual show. It IS more about dancing and partying, not so much about standard performances of album tracks.

Lukewarm. I expected so much more. I found it quite lifeless.

And it's 13min long, the rest is crowd noise.

"Sticky Like Glue" is the highlight, I agree it's really fantastic.

Sadly I missed the aftershow, I was totally exhausted after all the waiting outside Forum - and the main concert. So I decided to go to my hotel instead of going to Amager Bio.

FBG are doing a great job releasing these shows in fantastic quality. A BIG Thank You to them.

As far as the actual content goes, this is yet another recent aftershow I don't plan on pulling out of the cd shelf again anytime soon.

Personally speaking, I would prefer less covers, less female vocals, and more focus on long jams.

I was there and it was really fresh & cool to hear a NEW song getting some extended airplay. So thanks to Prince for playing this 13 min full-funky edition of "sticky"

This was one of the funkier shows I've heard in a while, and I enjoyed it a lot. "Give It To Me Baby", "We Party Hearty", "Which Way Is Up", and the biggest highlight for me, "Sticky Like Glue". This is one of my favorite songs off 20Ten, and I'm always excited in the somewhat rare instances he actually plays a new song. Too bad he didn't play "Lavaux" at this show, as well. It would have fit with the funky vibe.

I'm liking Ida as the new bass player.
