it's time has passed? I think not.
i think it is just getting started. It will evolve and become more like karaoke.
the main thing is they use of real or more realistic guitars. (rock bank 3 uses a 102 buttons for strings (6 per fret with 17 frets) or a 'real' guitar as well as another game that has a real 6 string) It is just getting started.

i like how rockband 3 is gonna have a keyboard! 3 of my friends got these games. i'm ok at drums. not even gonna try guitar with my long fingernails..i love the singing! i get 100% alot. but i could just go try karaoke...i wanna try prince,inxs and led zepp!  i don't wear a cross?!!? i wear a prince symbol     I When Prince's cum dries, diamonds are formed.    no one tops prince in concert! | |

even just that without a game...my friend stacy was gonna sell me all her rock band games and controllers for $100. this WAS BEFORE the prince tour was announced...too broke now

Sales of the product are way down, I believe the company that owns it is going to sell it or has sold it to someone else. It is a fad and with fads they come and go. I mean they still make beanie babies, but most people don't care. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment | |

i still love Guitar Hero and RockBand
but some things I think would be fun are
U Got The Look Diamonds and Pearls Purple Rain Dreamer Bambi Darling Nikki(although I think that one would be a little hard but im always up for a challenge and Little Red Corevette | |

they are laid out like strings. long and thin side by side |||||| . 6 buttons per fret, with 17 frets. It also has 6 vinyl strings that have to be strummed. It has been reported that it is harder than a real guitar but I am not sure why.
