YouTube is so great!

Got a chance to just goof for an hour or so and watch some videos on YouTube.

I have to say Prince hit it out of the park with Batdance the song and video... it’s a rare occasion when I think he captured the vision of someone else and was able to pull it off

1st the song is funky as doo doo and the three parts that are molded together and are so different yet just work... the part where is just shredding that guitar and it goes in the Vicki Vale chant is just nuts!

On the other hand while the Partyman video is good the song isn't. It sounds so plastic and cartoonish. I wonder what that song would sound like if Prince played it live with real drums and without the helium.

There is so much stuff over on YT... I'm glad he got over that foolishness. Even watched the SB performance which was out of this world. How ironic for this kid to be singing Purple Rain in a driving rainstorm... and dude pulled it off

Partyman was played live during the Nude tour and it was as Funky as Holy Hell

Best quality can be seen on the Tokyo 90 or Le Coruna from Spain both Pro-filmed!!

Great video. Fun album.

But Batdance/Batman also marked an end to the world-leading-innovator-genius Prince.

And then?

I find it a bit interesting since Prince has said the Batman theme was one of the first things he learned how to play on the piano as a kid. So in a way, it marks the beginning and the end.

I always LOVED the last segment; "I'm going to kill you." "I'm not going to kill you." Then the Electric Chair. Probably my favorite Prince video.
