Emale

This question has probably been asked before, but the search function is down, so please no flames..

Does the "shiva" credit (bass) on the song "Emale" refer to Meshell N? I've always assumed it, and know I read about it before, but has it been confirmed?

Just a nagging question that won't leave my brain!

Cool song anyway..

My favorite track from "Emancipation!" I'm not sure about the "Shiva" though.

He jammed with his band and Meshell in New York. There they came up with the song (or a basic version of it).
Then he re-recorded it at Paisley Park (that's why the Emancipation booklet says "...after New York paved the way").

One of my favourite songs from the album too! Great word-play, lovely "squelchy" funk production. My favourite lines from this are; "So I must tell you, While I'm deep in your smell, You got the man I want to inflict with pain, For runnin' a game with my paper, I'll turn the boy to vapour..." - fantastic!

Actually, this is probably my third fave from the album, but it definately is up there!

i love it too, but i must admit, the chorus now sounds really dated, just because of the subject.
