"AMERICA" - Video Was the shoot only for that song or, was there an entire concert?

There were two takes of America and 5 other songs performed, but the filming was specifically for the America video. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Great live feel in the video- sweaty, funky and fun. The Revolution at its peak. The drum solo was a rare touch. I dig his playfulness in the video, the throwing stuff in the crowd, his faces, the tongue move- classic Prince.
Probably my favorite Prince video.

Understatement of the year. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

It's good, don't get me wrong, it's like the really long I Would Die 4 U (the half hour version), great track, but after 20 odd minutes you are like okaaaaaaaaay, not sure where else this track can go.

So in this photo, it's just a photo and not a still? It is a pic taken from the video shoot, I'm not 100% sure if it is a video still.

And the Bomb goes BOOM! Long live the Revolution! This has always been on of my favorite video's from that era! First and foremost it's Live! I love fun atmosphere is seemed to have....I love that Wendy is playing the Hohner and Prince is sporting the blue flower guitar! I always wondered who hit that extra note? Was it Wendy? I always loved Princes expression when that happened! I love how he tosses those records into the crowd and how he sticks his tongue out at them! Who pulled his coat off....was it Jerome? Eric and Eddie are just killin it on the horns! Brown Mark is jumpin all ova da place...lol! Then to end it with a killer drum solo.....it's the perfect video in my opinion. It's a great time capsule for Prince and the Revolution if some future generation wanted to see what they were all about. Well that's my little take on this video.....now fake it!
