Moonbeam Levels & Open Book Anyone know what unreleased album or other artist these two tracks were intended for?
Thanks

Moonbeam Levels was intended for 1999, it was replaced with Free. Open Book was released on the Jevetta Steele album Here It Is in 1993.

Open Book was also originally intended for 'Martika's Kitchen'.

According to this http://www.princevault.co...eam_Levels Moonbeam Levels was not considered for 1999, so who knows? I have always been led to believe the track was replaced with "Free" so i'm sticking to that.

Considering they could barely fit D.M.S.R. on the album Warners probably told Prince "please no more music". When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

That is funny, I always thought it sounded like it could have been an outake from that album. Spirit, Don't Say U Love Me, Love, Thy Will Be Done, all such great tracks, Open Book would have fit nicely IMHO.
peace

These songs make me sad, in a way - because they remind me of a time when Prince wrote some kickass lyrics. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
