It was reported shortly after Xenophobia first surfaced on the tour and the lead line was used on the official website. Authorship to 'Overnight, Every Night' is claimed by Prince, Eric Leeds, Levi Seacer Jr. and Shiela E. at the Library of Congress.
The Xenophobia cassette deposited at the Library of Congress in February last year, which presumably (although not definitely) was all of the Xpectation album + Xenophobia gives copyright of the whole work to Prince. ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift. |

Someone else brought this up a while back. I've heard both the songs. They are only the SLIGHTET bit similar. They're not so similar to co-credit someone else for 'Xenophobia'.

Anyway when i get round 2 dig Miles Davis's BeBop album out Im sure one of the songs is more than similar...but does it matter?
