So I'm looking through the used section at the record store today and this cover caught my eye...

I'm guessing most everyone will recognize the different sources for the "clipped" text.

Out of curiosity, I gave the Sven Bart and Induce 2-disc set a listen to see if the Prince influence ran deeper into the content. It didn't, but the songs are pretty good on their own if you dig the genre. I didn't buy it because it was the "clean", promo version, but I'll consider picking up the explicit CD.

Any other cover art out there that has Prince elements? I recall at least three or four that come to mind right now.

the 'IN' looks like the in from PRINCE from Parade or one of the Parade singles.

You're good. I do think that the "and" "arth" "Revolution" bits are from the 12" Let's Go Crazy cover though, because the letters are white.

Great catch on the Raspberry Beret Promo. I couldn't remember a Raspberry Beret sleeve with that color combo.

Interestingly, the part of the collage that instantly caught my eye was the Ice Cream Castles letters. Then I looked closer and thought cool.

Hopefully they did the "snipping" digitally - the letters are a different resolution than the white part of the CD cover. The scans are high-res though, so someone in Sven's circle is a collector.

In highschool I used to be a total sucker for all those cool fonts he used. Would always try to reproduce them anywhere I could when I got bored in class. Which happened alot lol.

^ My favorite lettering is the Sign O The Times LP and that era's 12"s and 7"s. The whole period had rich artwork that matched the musical content perfectly.

I loved the graphics during the WB years. For me it seem to match the feel of the music.

Yeah, the WB years are miles ahead of the NPG designs in my opinion. The Rainbow Children was quite good visually, though.
