I just got through listening to the streaming of "Rich Friends" and I got to thinking hmmm? Where have I heard this beat before? Light bulb! Follow me now my fellow orgers! Let's go back to 1985 there was an urban smash hit movie called The Last Dragon, which starred Vanity and a brash new young black kung fu actor named Taimak. Well, there was a scene in the movie when a villian named 'Eddie Arcadian his girlfriend auditioned her video called Dirty Boy for Vanity! The song was very funky it had a strong Prince feel to even though she murdered it with her voice! I always wondered if Prince penned that tune? He was known for having songs and jingles in movies and commercials without giving credit to himself, genius! So for those of u who have the movie compare the instrumentation of the songs and tell me whatcha think? I really believe he has been remaking a lot of his tunes from his vault!!
