"Do Me, Baby" live DVD? Hi guys,
I stumbled across audio of 4 minute "Do Me, Baby" performance with a really smooth guitar intro. It is supposed to be on the bootleg Prince in Tokyo Nude Tour DVD and the comments suggest Miko was on the guitar while Prince was at the piano.
Problem is, I found a Prince 1990 Nude Tour live recording and the "Do Me, Baby" track on it was completely different version...it was essentially an extension of "When Doves Cry" with some shouting "Do Me, Baby" over it.
Can anyone help clarify this for me? Thank you! [Edited 10/18/10 1:26am]

i dont want to be rude and i can't really answer your question, but its best to remove the video link. Until Prince actually says he's fine with the whole internet thing, we can't post links.
and being a prince fan, i am pretty sure he'll never change his mind [Edited 10/18/10 1:36am]

The long intro is played by Miko, dare I say its is beautiful. Some of the boots that I have come across do not have that song on there. There is a video circulating of the concert from Tokyo. Rosie is singing Do Me Baby at the end of When Doves Cry, if I'm not mistaken, that song leads into the song Do Me Baby. TRUE BLUE

Ok, so 1st the "Do me, baby" chant at the end of When Doves Cry is totally unrelated to the Do Me, Baby song: it's part of When Doves Cry.
Now we actually have TWO video configuration of the Tokyo show. The original broadcast was 90mn long and featured the entire show: that's probably where your version come from. An edited version of the show was later sold to various TV stations around the world: the songs were in a different order and it was only 60mn long. I don't recall if Do Me, Baby was maintained on it it but it's likely that it wasn't, while When Doves Cry was. This probably explains why u can't find Do Me, Baby on the Tokyo concert ^^ Get the original broadcast and everything should be fine
Now, there was a SECOND broadcast show, the La Coruna show in Spain, that was broadcat on Spanish TV (while yet another Spanish show was broadcast on a Spanish radio that same summer), and it featured Do Me, Baby as well (but not When Doves Cry).
U can find the tracklist of the 3 original broadcasts here: https://sites.google.com/...raphy/1990 A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/
