Took a look at it - I don't know if it was appropriate for a fan to write the entire family. I'm sure they meant well. I could understand writing Prince or his management/assistants etc, but where there's people in her community who knew her personally as well as her immediate family who reads that, didn't think it was appropriate. Have no idea what kind of relationship they had, or if he attended the funeral. Just seems awkward. I know that when a celeb's mom or dad passes away, they usually don't put it in the paper right away out of fear of attracting fans and paparazzi at an event that a celeb doesn't want to be the center of attention.

There's a lot of people out there whose sibling is famous and they're not. Or someone you're dating has a famous cousin, or childhood friend they keep in touch with.

One of the things you don't want to do is use your friendship to gain favors. If you happen to be in the right place at the right time, that's fine.

It is Duane. This pic was 94 or 95 and Gilbert and Prince were no longer friends/business partners. Besides, I've seen him countless times. I'll try and find a pic of Gilbert.

Supports my mother's theory...Prince isn't the son of John Nelson

I don't see any similarities either, unless Prince was onee of those kids who have looks of their own instead of from their parents.

Prince has many features of his father and Prince has his mother's eyes. If that is Duane, he looks completely different than what he looked like in the high school basketball photo from way back. I guess Duane likes his hair permed out too!

Duane can also be seen in the 3 Chains O' Gold long form video. He's with Prince on the train in Japan and also walks in with Prince, Mayte, and Joey in the beginning of the 7 video. Duane also ran the NPG Store in Minneapolis and was quite visible.
