Good God-y is that like MJ. Prince always wears clothes like that and sunglasses too. However everytime I see Obama and other leaders doing press conferences I do secretly think "Michael jackson did that in 2009-get your own act"

Just in case that was the only place you've seen her, I recommend you look for her music and videos either at her website or on YT.

I really didn't like that performance, then I saw the article about Prince going to see her perform at First Ave and Janelle and her band going back to PP etc... and figured she was worth another listen.

I watched the Tightrope vid and was hooked. Now I have her album and I love it.

I've re-watched the BET tribute and, after getting to know her style, I actually get what she was doing with it...I still don't think it was the best choice, but it made more...sense, I guess.

(Apologies of course if you know all about her and her music and her style and still just don't like her work)

Oh yes, I'm there at that concert...can't wait for this purple day in December.....

In other words a Newpower Soul tour, but this time without Chaka.

Don't think it's going to be anything we have not seen before. Being surrounded by an audience being polite but inwardly resentful to the other acts and just hoping to see him.

I would rather less of the other acts and more of him, like the 3121 shows in LV. Unless he comes with this to my home town, this sadly is not something I fancy making a special trip on a plane for.

Dang I'm shocked at the negativity from this announcement. For myself personally, I think it's a great idea..especially since he's featuring acts that are really talented. Oh well, to each his own I guess....can't please everybody.

Prince you better be coming to Ohio! Yeah, he didn't give us specifics and no he didn't mention a new album. But if he would have that just wouldn't be Prince. Oh and if there is a DVD of 21 nights that goes for sale...I am taking the day off and gettin that motha! Do yo thang Prince!

I hope it's a proper tour, and I DO wish it was just Prince. The inclusion of all those others makes me think the tickets will be pricey. That being said, I am glad he is at least ACKNOWLEDGING the U.S., finally.

and she had the flu

she is soooooooo pretty too

I saw Prince with Chaka Kahn and Larry Graham at the Aragon in Chicago awhile back, and it was a blast of a show. This one should be good. Hope he comes to Chicago, but it just so happens I will be in NYC 12/10 weekend. So if need be I'll def see him in the big apple.

Some are asking what was the purpose of Prince announcing the concert series if there was no date/locations confirmed. Apparently he held the conference to let folks know he's involved in the Harlem Empowering Zone Project and will be mc'ing/hosting some shows in the near future with live performances. It is apparent the dates/location(s) are still being worked out. He did gave us an idea that it will start sometime in December 2010, so at least he's letting people know about this upcoming event ahead of time.

Probably to showcase and introduce the talents of many musicians in America, that he will be supporting and performing with during the concert series

Think it's good for people that are near would like to know the ticket prices. Not that i will be going as don't live in America. Would be great for fans if he did like he did with the O2 and made it affordable to everyone the O2 shows were 31 pounds 21 so not even 20 dollers. Think these may be pricey though.

Prince has always worn sunglasses at his announcements/speeches. , nothing new there...I didnt hear him say "This is it!"...this is not a farewell or final concert of any kind. He just announced his upcoming tour..nothingmore...stop trying to read shit into it.
