Well it appears that the orginal Time have a new album heading our way [check out Moquake etc for info]!!. So if you could only buy 1 which would you choose!!. Right now I have too much P and not enough Time so the Time would get my hard earned £!. What about you?.

Folks,

The time would not exist without Prince, Prince = The Time, he wrote most, if not all, of the music on all four albums and played most of the instruments. The Time albums were Prince albums, any rivalry that you heard about back in the 80's was just for show and to generate interest, Prince was competing against nobody but himself.

The reason why there has been no new album in so long is because Prince has not given them 12 new tracks to have Morris sing lead over. If they are releasing an album on their own, I fear a lot will be a bit disappointed. Unless it is a Prince creation like the last 4 Time albums, I won't be buying it.

So 20TEN Deluxe is what I would choose.

It's common knowledge that Prince was behind The Time in the early days, but his input was much reduced on Pandemonium and that was still a pretty solid album. I think you're forgetting that the Time have Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis in the band again. They've certainly done just fine for themselves without Prince's helping hand. I wouldn't count this album out just because Prince isn't involved

That said, I'd rather have 20TEN Deluxe.

"Jerk Out" was the only hit from "Pandemonium" & that is Prince track all the way. I'm actually surprised Prince is letting them use the name "The Time". Because he didn't let "The family" use there name and that was a knock off group from "The Time"...... I'm looking forward to hearing "The Time" new album. But still want 20TEN DELUXE...20TEN is Princes old 1999/Controversy sound back.....

I want to say The Time, but I don't know what direction they plan on taking with the new album.

I know that 20tenDeluxe contains songs with the oldschool flavor that I like so I will bank on the album that is sure to satisfy.

That being said, The Time have more potential to drop a a groove filled funk treat. Prince has his moments but the jehovah talk and weak ballads can take away from the goodstuff/

I'd like a TRUE Time album - where Prince, Jesse, Morris, Jimmy, Terry, Monte and Jellybean all have equal input. Now that would be awesome.

The Time. Wasn't impressed with "Rich Friends" and didn't really care of half of 20ten. I have a pretty good feeling The Time are going to laydown some funk jams funkier than anything on 20ten.
