Rainbow Children contains some of Prince's hardest rocking music

Yes Jazz tones are the bass of the album but some of the songs

incorporate some of the heavist

rock music Prince ever done.

listen to the parts of Digital Garden and Family name

he goes to a place he never was befor Metal music

and he sounded great .too bad Prince is scared to realise fast heavy rock album,Lotus is not one.

funkomatic

The Prince of today doesn't go deep enough in order to get some interesting results. He has become a victim of his once biggest strength, called versatility.

True, Rainbow Children is rocking & edgy as f*** but 20ten has similar elements. P could easily put a hard rock album together but that's not "Prince"... He is very aware of his brand. Lotus is a killer album, if you wanna talk about albums that didn't have any impact.... 3121, Planet Earth, Musicology, Rave. Take another listen to Lotusflow3r it's pretty awesome!

The last minute of Digital Garden and elements within the last 2 or so minutes of Family Name are definitely much heavier than the tone of the rest of the album, but to me that's more like a bit of rock seasoning within a jazz salad, and certainly not metal (it may just seem it in contrast to the light, sometimes gospel feel of these songs).

I also don't think you can say it's a place he's never been to before... confuse

I do absolutely love the versatility in TRC, amongst other albums, and I look forward to seeing that again in time (yep, I'm one of the optimists).

A whole album of fast heavy rock isn't on my Prince wishlist, but always happy to see it in the mix.
