Besides Sodom and Gommorah were destroyed because they were inhospitable to the angels the story is a a condemnation of gang rape not two people of the same gender who love each other.

Also if you read the Bible you will see a continuing theme those who were formerly excluded from the kingdom of God are later included. Deuteronomy says that no one whose testicles are crushed can enter the temple of God yet in the book of Acts the Ethiopian eunuch who was an unclean gentile and a sexual minority was held up as an example of good faith.

If you read scripture you will also note that there are stories of same gender love, ie David and Jonathon, and Ruth and Naomi. The same word Ruth "clung" to Naomi that is used in the original hebrew is the same word used in Genesis where it says that a man will "cling" to his wife. Plus, David loved Jonathon more than women.

If you use 1 Corinthians 6:9 and Romans 1:26-27 as a blanket condemnation of what we refer to now as homosexuality, then don't pick and choose...Paul's wrightings were also used in the nineteenth century in the deep south to support slavery, it is still being used today to say that women should not preach, and it was also taken out of context to support the holocaust against the Jews, never mind the fact that Paul and Jesus themseves were Jews.

God has blessed me with a wonderful relationship with someone of the same gender, also Jesus said NOTHING about what we call homosexuality.

I am sure if Jesus was here in the physical form today he would be against these oppressive theologies that institutionalized religion supports.

I have accepted the blood of Christs cross, and my relationship with Jesus has led me to the truth that I no longer have to live in self-condemnation and that "before I was in the womb, God knew who I was." Jeremiah 1:5. I prayed and asked God to send me my someone, and not long after I met my partner, we go to church together, pray together, and GOD HAS BLESSED OUR RELATIONSHIP!

There's a huge difference between what you call "queer" and actual homosexuality. The latter has always existed, "queerness" is something that was created a couple of centuries ago.

I am a gay man wrighting about how God has blessed my relationship with another man and that we pray and go to church together, and that the Bible has been used by man to oppress others throughout the centuries and that Jesus came to earth to end ALL oppression.
