A love Bizarre live '86 question - help.. ...first of all let me say that listening to this is as funky as ANYTHING P has done before or since, horns + Wendy's super slick chicken grease rythm guitar+ Brown Marks bass = pure heaven.
Anyway, towards the end goes up the chant 'whose house ? murhys house!' [or words to that effect!] can some one tell me is this chant comes from another P song or was it just added to the live version.
Oh, by the way how funky is the '86 version of Controversy!! - never bettered since methinks [we so need Wendy's rythm back!]

Isn't it "Whose house? Wendy's house!"
I know there's another live version where a different member of the Revolution is called out, but it slips my mind at the moment.

I think the chant was just added to the live version. I don't recall it being on any other Prince track.

I've also heard it done as "Miko's house". Can't remember if it was on A Love Bizarre also, or a different song. TRUE BLUE

Both times, it was on A Love Bizarre. In the '86 shows, it was "Wendy's house," then in the Lovesexy Japan '89 shows, he revived the chant as "Miko's House".

Love this song as much today as way back then. Perfect for dancing. I wish there was a nice dancing smilie. That banana is so no-no. "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -
