I just popped in the VH1 special and when he does "The Ride" he is playing a Symbol guitar that is painted with a color changing paint. Has he used that guitar before after the special or is that the only time. It's a kick butt color. Any Pics??? Thanks

I'm going off of memory, but it looked 2 me like it was black with maybe gold glitter sprayed on it. On the video 4 "Gold" that's what the guitar looked like 2 me, so maybe it's the same guitar? Again, I'm going from memory cuz I have the dvd, but haven't watched it in a good while...

Thanks, I just rewound my VHS copy (LOL) and my daughter realized that it is black with sparkles, again is this the only time i have seen this guitar?

Incorrect, Prince used the black symbol guitar on occasion in 1995 and 1996. most notably in the video for Same December (from Chaos and Disorder). Prince also used the black guitar in July 1996 during a live performance the TODAY Show in New York City. He performed Zalanee and then dropped / smashed the guitar.

He used it in the "I Like It There" video also.

Yeah,its just a glossy black w/ gold glitter.Epic!!!

Ah ha. I'd only seen DwD.

A few years back Dupont came out with the Chromalusion paint for Jeff Gordon's racecar...it was basically a goldish color with purple, blue and redish highlights depending o n how the light hit it. I can only assume this was the kind of paint that might have been used but it's pretty expensive....hope this help!
