I still like 2 or 3 (sometimes more) songs from every new album, but i do not listen to the albums as much as i used to, it is on quite rare occasions that i pull out a Prince album and play it. I still look forward to a new album though.

Boots is where my main interest is now, i have been collecting boots slowly for a number of years now, but it is more in the past year that they have begun to take up most of my music listening time. The range of songs is fantastic, and there is always something new to discover, no matter how old the song being played. People who do not agree/collect boots really are missing out on some fantastic music, it is listening to Prince live that you really get a real sense of just how amazing a musician and songwriter he really is.

And even songs that you may have disliked on an album can have new life injected into it while being played live, and make you think differently about the song/album.

I want music videos, official tour dvd's, official soundboard downloads, cd singles with extended tracks and B-sides, just like in the good old days (the Warner Bros. days!)

He seems to be unable to complete anything. No management, no follow through, and he's basically unravelling whatever was left of his legacy by becoming more known for 'shenanigans' (distribution through newspapers, 'the internet is over' etc.) than for his actual art.

He really seems to need help right now.

I would say 'as long as he's happy,' but he doesn't seem particularly happy right now either.

That opinion based on interviews, lack of inspiration in his recent output, his continued bitterness toward the music industry, his fan base, and anyone who doesn't subscribe to his beliefs.

This is all my opinion, of course, but it does seem something is really missing in Prince right now.

From where I sit, it seems he's sad, bitter, and condescending more than anything else these days.

Perhaps that's just your individual conception of him. Not all agree with this. I find him evasive and infuriating at times but not "sad, bitter, and condescending." His music still moves me and that is all that counts IMO. About his current state of being, I cannot speak on that--only my own.
