One Nite Alone Box Set Hi all, sorry if this has been discussed before but I had a question. The other day I was shopping at Second Spin, a cool cd store here in Denver. I bought a One Nite Alone used boxset. When I opened it, I was surprised to find the bonus disc "Piano and Voice." It was even sealed! My question is: is this rare? Was this included in all versions of the box, or was it an NPG exclusive? thanks, Dorian

There was One Night Alone Live, and then the studio album which was mostly piano based. "So fierce U look 2night, the brightest star pales 2 Ur sex..."

What you should find inside the box is the (lame) One Nite Alone... Live double cd, the (even lamer) It Ain't Over single cd and the booklet.
If you also got the (horribly unbearable) One Nite Alone studio album you've been quite lucky as it sells for quite a good money on ebay and such.

almost as horrible as the Indigo Nights set. Prince 4Ever.

Nice find! ONA was an NPG Music Club exclusive. AFAIK retail of the box set never included the piano album.
Since it was sealed, I guess you got an NPGMC copy

Holy shit. That's a terrific find. The ONA-Piano and Voice is worth way more than that yawn-fest of box-set. I've seen the single studio disc go for just under $300, but the market is down and probably won't fetch that. The commercial box-set(without the studio disc) is still available in stores as NOS for under $40. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I've never heard of the CD-ROM version. Interesting. Why on earth was it a CD-ROM? Was the data contained on it different than the CD version? I find it unusual because CD-ROMs are pressed at a factory as are silver CDs versus a CD-R which could have been made on any computer or stand-alone optical writer. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Great find!! I, personally, love the piano/vocal CD. Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Great find!
I bought mine on eBay a couple of years ago, for around 25 bucks... Still sealed, and containing the piano-CD...

Brilliant find. IIRC the club box set had no barcode whereas the commercial release did.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
