thanks for all the pics posted.. Appears to me that the batman fret markers are on the blue angel not the black cloud. i dont think there was a 3rd black cloud, probably only one that had the maple neck changed to the black one. The blue angel looks like it had the neck changed as well, at least had the fret markers added. look at the pic from the nude program again as well as the pic of him playing the blue cloud on the nude tour. looks like the batman symbol to me. i dont know if the peach one ever had spade markers but i sware i heard that somewhere

Groovement... Is that Batman Cloud blue? I could have sworn it was black and the color in that pic is just off.

It is entirely possible that the neck on the black cloud was painted black over that maple finish.

no-one really stole anything from the kitchen, but someone walked in and found fans looking in the fridge to see what food might have belonged to prince, and they just shut down that part

they had some guitars out cuz takumi was showing me some of them, like the fake hohner that's a real guitar with a built in water pistol that was used in the purple rain tour and end of the movie i think. it was custom made. they also had one of the linn drums that had some tunes programmed in, plus the paisley drum kit, fairlight and that batman style piano, plus the graffiti bridge bike which was one of the purple rain bikes that was restyled, there might have been a purple rain bke too, plus a few cars. i think it was another time we got to see the underground car park that has more cars like the bmw's from gett off, the UTCM roller, the alphabet st car (the dad car got written off in a crash), and a brown and black limo and goldnigga car

At some point the NPG store in MPLS had the outfits from the Lovesexy tour and the SOTT tour, sweat stains and all. On separate occasions. I remember wanting to grab the Bob George trench coat and run for my life! A friend of mine wanted to buy the Lovesexy teal green outfit, they were not being advertised as for sale, but they were willing to sell for the right $. My friend decided on some proof sheets instead. Still cool stuff!

Agree. Again, this is a baby blue with batman markers as also seen in the nude program guitar collection pic already posted here. Also look at pics from the Nude tour with the blue angel.

Based on what has been posted so far, I don't believe there is more than one black cloud. The maple neck version has the same unusual grey pickups that the black neck version does seen in the Act 1 photo session pics. I have also never seen him use the all black cloud for anything other than the Batdance video and photos. The blue angel was the only cloud used during the Nude tour I believe so it makes sense that it would have the Batman logos.

So there was never a black Cloud with Batman fret markers? Just the Blue Angel, or one with the same blue paint had the Bat logos? I thought for sure I saw a black Cloud with the Bat frets at one point - maybe that center black Nude Tour pic has smaller Bat logos...

I would imagine so, but as stated above, some guitars were repainted and re-purposed over the years. The original "Blue Angel" had the black dot fret markers, but it looks like the "Batman" blue Cloud has the same Blue Angel paint vs the latter darker blue mica paint of the Rave era. Schecter had a contract with Prince to provide guitars made to his specs. The original was made by a luthier at Knut Koupee in Minneapolis where the Cloud bass was previously made. Andre played the bass in videos, but it was Prince's 4-string.

you would think that Prince could have had several clouds made but for whatever reason he liked to recycle the clouds. i would not doubt that the blue angel is the same guitar used for Lovesexy tour and like i said i believe there was only one black. who knows, maybe they were all originally white from Purple Rain

Huh? Unless "cloud" is a general term associated with guitars that aren't Prince's, Andre wasn't using a cloud guitar in that video. Prince's clouds have a swirl on the corner and the top swirl ornament that runs parallel to the neck. Andre's guitar had that typical fender look to it with the two horn-like bumps on top.

It is quite possible that the white clouds became the black, peach and baby blue clouds. from your pics I can tell that they are in the same pics together but never have I seen the white clouds since they were used on the Purple Rain tour.

Some screen caps from the WYWTMSB video with Andre playing the Cloud Bass. The bass was supposedly made by the late Charles Orr, who did in fact make the white guitar Prince is playing in the same video. The natural wood body has the familiar upper horn and headstock design which would later show up on the famous Cloud guitars.
