Xenophobia

I love ONA Live and all.I jsut would really like to see an official perfect soundboard set of the celebration shows.I think this set shows some of Prince's best performances. This cd set is awesome!!!I also think it would work better with general music lovers and show so many doubters than he is untouchable still. This should really be released.

Actually, I seriously doubt that the release of Xenophobia would change the hearts and minds of general music lovers concerning Prince. Prince is a well respected artist and musician the world over. His legendary status is secure. But most people have already formed their opinions of Prince whether it be good, bad or indifferent. A new release from Prince, whether it's live, studio, jazz, funk, rock etc. really won't change their minds. With Prince it's either you "get it" or you don't - it's as simple as that.

Every new release from Prince is a different experience. And I think most people, especially music lovers in general recognize that Prince is always doing something different. But most of those same people will simply shrug off a new release as "Oh.. Prince has something new out" and then move on. But they won't necessarily take any more interest in his music just because we, the fans, think something he releases is brilliant. And I say that because I know that the average music listener won't take the time to internalize and analyze Prince's music the way we do.

But, would I personally like to have Xenophobia - ABSOLUTELY!
