this has everything to do with prince. at this point in his career he should have a better understanding of how to pay his own expenses.
Exactly and as seemingly as distrustful he is of people, he would not leave such delicated matters to others.
I just get the impression that he does not give a damn if his bills are paid on time or not. |

Sounds like ur a hater. It just seems to me his people have not been good at handling his business affairs not him not wanting to pay them. U seem like U have personal issues with Prince. Being jealous of him owning 14 properties is very juvenile. Get over it or just delete your account and save me the drama about ur issues with Prince.
I haven't had issues with Prince since Uptown was in publication, bro. Save the psychology lesson.
It only takes 1 moderately-working ear and/or eye to tell that he sings songs talking about not wanting to pay taxes and sure-as-shit what happens? Boy can't pay taxes for the life of him. Nor can he pay for many, many, MANY things that he has left people w/ the tab over the years. You think this is new? You think somehow Prince just kept the same accountants and money people around since... oh, forever? President, please. You are smoking either rocks or pole - either way, you're fucked.
Huge difference between not liking the idea of paying taxes and not being able to ( I do not know anyone that likes paying taxes). He paid them so he has the money but since none of us know anything about P's accountants or business managers it is a little bit much to speak as if we have the inside track on what is going on. As far as your comments about the citizens of Carvar county since P is the largest land owner in the county that are thanking their lucking stars he did pay it.
Unless you think someone else in this economy is going to come along and buy up these properties. |

I really don't think Prince pays any attention to his financial affairs, that's the job of his accountants and tax advisors.
This assumes he has any.
This assumes he does indeed invest, plan ahead, etc.
We only see coincidences.
He loses a few things (Croke Park, some perfume deal, and some more) and soon thereafter we see a micro-tour with slightly expensive tickets. (contrasting with cheap 2007 O2-tickets)
The tour ends and soon afterwards he pays even more delinquent stuff, settles a case, etc.
You say it is `normal` whatever he does.
He paid the taxes before the tour but do not let the facts stop you (LOL) In addtion, real estate is an investment. |

If you're waiting for an investment to mature with a growth interest to cover the tax fine handsomely, it makes sense to default on taxes and pay the fine, than put the investment return under penalties for early withdrawal. There's no way Prince will keep that kind of money in a current account, bank interest is a joke.
So I gather the shrewd accountants and tax advisors made more money in his late tax payments, (even including the tax fine) by waiting for the maturity date of another investment.
But these kind of complex transactions which deal with millions are not always comprehensible for everyone. One thing is sure, it has nothing to do with Prince not opening his post, or deliberately not paying his taxes. It's just business.

Um, I don't think the people of Carver County should thank Prince for doing shit. He is as much of a citizen as anyone else there. It is his responsibility to pay his taxes as much as it is yours or mine.
And all you need to do is use simple deduction. He doesn't like the idea of paying taxes, he CAN, but he frequently doesn't. I am not nor have I ever suggested Prince is broke. I suggested he's a deadbeat. |

He's a millionaire. It is understood that he has plenty money to pay his bills and then some. He is not struggling in a broken economy the same way a middle class person is. If I have 25 million dollars (a paltry sum compared to Prince's actual earnings, I am sure) and my property taxes amount to 1.3 million dollars then I should have no problem paying bills.
If I make $90,000 a year in one of the world's biggest markets (California), I make around $4,000 a month and I assure you that $4000 a month goes up in flames much faster than the 18 million dollar difference Prince has in this example.
The $90,000 a year, even, is on the higher end of the spectrum for single or non-married people. Some couples only make $90,000 or less in COMBINED incomes. This is why there is a marked difference between Prince and the average person in the US and this is why its considered absurd that he doesn't pay his property taxes. |

So what you're saying is that because he's rich Prince should immediately pay any bills/taxes at the moment he's notified so as to not receive any late notices. Whereas a middle class individual can tell any agency to go shove it because it's harder for them to come up with the money that they also rightly owe.
I want you to be my lawyer when they drag me into court on this one! When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! |

Because the government needs money to cover the illegal occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq and to aid Israel in ethnically cleansing Palestine of its indigenous inhabitants -- among other such expenses. Oh, and also all these multi-billionaire corporations like Goldman Sachs (who make Prince and MJ look like absolute paupers) say that instead of covering for their losses the rest of us are going to have to do it. |

Hate to break it to you, buddy, but you don't get props for doing what you oughta-should.
Taxes are a fact of life in every civilized country with an economy, infrastructure, and government. Period.
Do we really need news stories saying that he paid his taxes? No, because he should've fucking paid them like the rest of us schlubs (who, might i add, don't have the luxury of owning 14 different properties). Who pays for the 1.3 million that Prince decided to shirk (until he paid it off)? Anyone who lives in Carver County.
That isn't taking pride in your homeland or the place you grew up, like Prince so righteously speaks about being (that is, until 20TEN). It's shitting on the people who filled your coffers to begin with, not to mention put up with his bratty ass in the first place.
Please, everyone at one point has financial situations. The wealthy as well as the poor.
I'll give anyone props that is able to get caught up in their finances. And will never piss on anyone when they seem to be in some sort of hardship. Especially when you or anybody here knows the specifics of his affairs. |

So... he's paid what he owes. Good for him, about time.
Those of you saying about the Euro-tour being after he paid the bills... Remember now, he (according to the purple rumour mill on prince.org) gets paid in advance of doing shows....
Therefore, one can surmise, he said he'd do the concerts, got paid, paid his taxes, and did the gigs - which were better than some are making out, and he looked to be enjoying himself even if the "haters" weren't.
Right, it's sunday morning and I'm going out... We ain't from Hollywood, so you know it's all good |
