Prince: 20 Ten - About Opening Doors * An escalation by BeautifulExperience *
Everyone who listened close enough got an announcement of 20Ten on the internet-only single Cause And Effect running on radio station '89.3 the current' a few weeks ago, but nobody expected it to be a stunning work like this, all about the everlasting present: "I am here - where are U?" Yeah, there's a way to get your Purple Rain in the concerts, but this vital artist has got much more to offer: Just lay down and listen to Beginning Endlessly, Future Soul Song, Sticky Like Glue, Lavaux, Walk In Sand and the hidden track describing your action, 'cause Laydown is the tune that makes all Timbalands of this world blush:

How much are you getting paid by Prince to write such drivel?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I don't think it's drivel at all. Well thought out post. Brings insight into 20ten. Unlike your 1 sentence, this is how ppl should post here on the org. As to 20ten, totallly feeling this album. It brings me back to my hey day & also looks to the future. Peace. [Edited 9/13/10 9:22am] Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

I strongly disagree; listening to 20Ten is, for me, like listening to Prince for the LAST time.
I'm sure after 24 years I won't take too long before I definitely dump Prince if he doesn't release a really good record for the first time since TRC s-o-o-n.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful post....I feel the exact same way, I couldn't have said it any better! 20Ten makes me feel alive, then it relaxes me and makes me remember why I LOVE Prince soooo much. He never ceases to amaze me and he always, always makes me feel his music and the message he is trying to convey with it. From beginning to end, 20Ten delivers pure genius work and I absolutely LOVE the cd!! I am truly blessed to know the wonders of this man and can't wait for the next ablum as I know it will be another masterpiece and will add to my already large collection of great songs by the greatest musician the world may ever know! Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

typical of Prince's lyrics nowadays.
Was it the first time he had ever dreamed of flying? I doubt it. Was he dreaming about the first time he ever flew? And he controlled it with the thoughts in his mind? As opposed to the thoughts coming from somewhere else?
Prince adds unnecessary words for the sake of rhythm, and they actually make the lines less clear than they would be otherwise. My Legacy

Excellent post! It's writing like this....positive thoughts that like yours that makes it all worth coming to prince.org. I do feel exactly as you do, and thank you so very much for this beautiful post. Lemme

That's not very nice. And you're forgetting that Prince doesn't pay people. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I thought I was the only one... I'm gonna need folks to use the RETURN button and begin new paragraphs if they want me to read things. Prince esta muerto...

I'm not so much into superlatives, but I also think there are not many musicians who can compete with him. Be it! Taking a risk is always an adventure.

Thank you! But "writing like this" doesn't seem to happen here anymore, and so this had been just an "experiment" for me to feel the atmosphere on this page. Be it! Taking a risk is always an adventure.

I think there are a lot of folks out there who dont post praise posts like this, due to the negativity that seems to flow thru prince.org. Shame.
As for 20Ten...I could do wothout the "hidden" track, but I like this album from beginning to end.
I have not said that about a Prince album since Lovesexy.
She has robes and she has monkeys, lazy diamond studded flunkies....

I think the album is great, 20Ten is a very satisfying listen to me. And I am very hard to please when it comes to Prince!

LOVE this album. Not perfect, but then which P album is? But you're right- it is all about the feeling.

Interesting that you refer to Lovesexy. Although it's a completely different thing, the similarity lies in the coherence of both albums.
And to say a few words about the negativity here: Many comments have kindergarden-standard. Be it! Taking a risk is always an adventure.
