Can someone tell me what is the earliest footage of prince performing live ?

well American band stand must be the first performance on tv, but that wasn't live..

looking at my bootleg collection i would say "the Ritz in NY on March 21 1981..

wonder what it would consist of.. maybe a rare live preformace from the for you days (is there any live footage during this time for that matter ?)

Audio-wise, the earliest circulating performance is The Omni, Atlanta March 6th 1980.

It was first issued by Superhero within their City Lights original series, then superbly fixed and tweaked by 4DaFunk and then, as unfortunately has become a norm, was blatantly ripped by Sabotage within 'their' City Lights Rehashed and Expanded series.

Was the first "official" Prince show at the Capri Theater in Minneapolis, Jan 5, 1979?

The earliest Live Performance on DVD that i've seen was the Dirty Mind Club Tour.Pre Revolution

Era, So dang Funky & Raw.It shows how well of a musician him,Dez,Andre, etc... were .It also showed how far he came as a performer .

OMG! That would be a rare, amazing find!! I wish I could get my hands on something like that. I'd bet almost anything there has to be something out there...

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol
