Lol I just heard this song for the first time last night....it doesnt sound like Prince at all! His voice is so deep in this one!... It sounds like some random boy band song from the early 90s!

I love the fairy-tale ish sound of it, like a pretty little love lullabye. The harmonies at the end are fabulous. Love his voice too, he rarely sings an entire song in that lower register. Me likey.

Love it too .. except for the middle section when his voice goes very deep, right before the 3rd chorus. I always fast forward that part.

i feel like it's usually overlooked, but the vocals and melody are great.

I was 17 when this song came out, and always considered this song dirty and risque.

I liked it... but when listening to it, I was always like... "Woooow... hmmmm..... so alrightie then!" lol

I introduced it to my girlfriend when I was 21, and let's just say... it became an anthem of hers!

This is an interesting tidbit. There were plenty of songs on her 3cd set (emancipation) that were great. I love this song alot. It is the first one that comes to mind when I think of his lower register.

Along with Batdance, this got a fair amount of JJJ radio play when it was released here in Aus.

Nice one indeed, some of his raunchier lyrics and some of his sweetest music, indeed boy-bandish. Might have been some kind of statement.........

according to P interview around that time it was inspired during a period of him listening to a lot of chart sould music at the time such as Luther, Teddy P etc. Now that really is one sick freak and why we loved him so much! - only P could listen to some smooth soul songs and twist them into a somg like this.
