The "Peach" video was the very first music video of Prince's I'd ever seen. My dad refused to get cable so we didn't have any MTV and I didn't care to sit around watching tv at my friends' houses so I just went without seeing a video until The Hits VHS came out.

To this day, I still think "Peach" is the perfect video to fit the song. Rough, grungy, cement, fuzzy, and Prince looking his weirdest.

Mayte kinda killed everything for me, she took up too much of the videos, and I had had MTV and VH1 so I got to see a lot of his videos before then, his video at that time were rather lame.

Love Peach! Never saw the video though.

Maybe you've not seen a lot of his videos then. The majority of them are rather lame. They're all pretty much performance videos. No concept, no real anything in them. The ones that stand out from that pack are "Raspberry Beret"; although performance, it's animated and colorful (and won for Best Choreography that year - REALLY?!), "Kiss" is good only for Wendy's contorted "Get the MFer away from me" faces. "I Wish U Heaven" - see "Raspberry Beret". Maybe a couple others.

"Peach" is a good song, and a good video. Raw, fun, probably done in a couple of takes at most.

I LOVE Peach! It rocks!! It was fantastic when he played that song as the final encore in Vienna!

I really like the harmony and sund of the female backup on this, and also the cycled low bass noise that goes up and down through the whole song.

what i like about this song, is that it has a marc bolan(t.rex) vibe to it.

also cream has that same vibe as well..
