J'Adore Peach!

I could do without the animated sound affects though.

Perhaps his best hard-rock song of all time (he hasn' t done a lot of pure rock songs to begin with lol)

It should have been huge, a top5 at least, I don't get why it flopped so badly... sad confused neutral

Always loved it. I love when black folks do rock and roll.

I love that he uses 3 different guitars, one for each solo. Gives a very cool flavor to the song.

One of my faves. I would love to hear a whole cd like this. You know that sexy rock sound. Think Peach or Glass Cutter. That would be awesome. Great guitar work. Lotus Flower was mainly rock but not this particular style.

Nah, 1 of his bad single choices. Peach is not in my top 100 fave Prince songs.

I guess you would have loved the fifties then considering that "black folks" invented it then.

Hard rock. Are you serious? Pure pop with some guitar.

Silly lyrics. Easy rhyming . POP POP POP all the way

Looking for a new man. Freaks need not apply. Freeeks can tho ;-p

Haha, not necessarily considering when rock and roll was born (in the 1940s) it was more reminiscent of something like "Courtin' Time" rather than "Peach"....

Some people believe this is the first rock song: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocket_88

Was recorded in 1951. So idk.

There's 2 ways of thinking - That the genre Rock began in the '40s with Rock and Roll being a subgenre evolving in the early 1950s or that Rock = Rock and Roll and it all began in the late 40s with most bandleaders situated at the piano (Little Richard) or with a lead saxophonist rather than today's model with lead guitarists.

You need to get a hold of The Undertaker album or video. If it is a rock sound you want, you can't go far wrong with this.

Just Prince, Sonny T and Michael B. Nice raw guitar shit, one of my top Prince albums.

I've always liked it - since I first saw the video when the Hits compilations were being promoted.

But I don't think his live versions work at all. The original studio cut is a heavy rocking blues number with a funky edge to it. All the subsequent live versions always seem toooo noisy to me, like he's missing the point of why it was good in the first place.

Anyone?

...and you know these days you rarely get even one guitar solo.

In this song you got something like 3-4 guitar solo, just WoW eek

it's alright. but like a lot of his rock songs on record, it lacks some of the punch that could have made it a little more vital
