Years ago i cooked my girlfriend a nice dinner, candles, all the hooha, i had made a mixtape of Prince ballads, all was going well.........until Insatiable, she said to me "oh......i hate this song, he sounds like a c***."

But enough of that, i like them both, Insatiable is one of those completly over the top ballads that i like, probably one of the best tracks on the album.

International Lover is a top tune too, i can't choose. I like them both.

Well, I'm a guy so neither song drops my panties and the lyrics are empty words for me.

But MUSICALLY I find Insatiable a much more interesting song.

Because there's just very awkward parts of it. Like when he calls her Marsha, when he's doing vocal exercises on his voice ala "God", when he's singing the chorus and it becomes really exaggerated, etc. The whole song is just funny to me - its completely the opposite of sexy.

"International Lover" wins legs up and hands down on this one. EASILY.

Spinlight was right in that unintentionally funny, and embarrassing. Not a strong ballad, for me. "Lover" is a tongue and cheek approach to seduction (whereas "Do Me, Baby" is all about the pussy poppin'), and it rides the plane to landing. "Insatiable" is just wacky in comparison.

Also, "I want you alone in my dirty little cage." Prince using imagery of a tiger? More like a Persian housecat, imo.

"International Lover" by far. "Insatiable" is a nice Prince ballad but "International Lover" is one of his best. How can you not love that scream at the end?

Hahahaha. I'm glad you saw it. It's not a TERRIBLE song and I get what it was intended for, but god damn! Even the line, I'll show my ---! if you show your ---! is over the top.

Insatiable all the way!!!! That song got me from the 1st time I heard it and it does ALOT to me, that video is just...wow. Prince does it like no one else can...and he looks drop dead gorgeous doing it. He is worlds above all other in the turn-on/sex dept. I like IL too though, just not as much.
