do you think Prince inspired performance of the band that played on Harrison Tribute

When i watch While my Guitar performance i always notice the

difference in the interpretation of the

band before and during Prince's guitar solo.

At the beginning until the middle of

the song the band played

While My Guitar gently weeps the

same way they would play

with late George or Eric Clapton -the original soloist in the song.

But soon after Prince kicks in with his

energized powerful guitar solo i hear

the drummer start playing louder with more drum fills ,

other instruments also.

I't looks like Prince inspired those

guys very much,look

at the organ player and percusionst

they are really into the performance.

p.s. Did the band rehearsed with Prince before the performance?

It'd be pretty shit if it stayed flat all the way through. It's just bringing the performance to a boil, a crescendo. You know, showbiz.

Yes, they did rehearse. I remember a quote from Paul Schaffer saying that he could tell Prince was going to steal the show. He also said that Prince held a little back for the actual performance.

Yeah, it's just part of being a good rhythm section - knowing when to build the song. It's been said many times, but great accompaniment makes for great solos. Those guys are all pros. They knew what time it was cool

Ok i understand you but look at the While my guitar gently weeps tribute show to Gerge .

it's from the year 2003 same band + Paul Mccartney and Eric Clapton.

During Claptons guitar solo they didn't deliver this hard thumping groovy musical background.

I know we all listen to Prince's solo in the song but

just listen to the band.
