As long as its not corny then I wouldnt mind. Prince does seem to have a bad track record so i dont think he could pull it off. im a big hip hop fan (not all hip hop is bad open your minds people) and i dont theres anything prince could really contribute to the genre, but id still like to hear the stuff he has hidden in his vault. He actually already did. They're called Goldnigga and Carmen Electra. He doesn't do the vocals but i wouldn't be surprised if every track existed with his own vocals rapping in the vault.

It would have to totally depend on how clever he tried with the lyrics. He might be able to make the music sound good, but a good rapper needs clever lyrics with some double meaning and a good flow. Otherwise he might as well be speaking over a nice funk/pop riff.

That being said, I like his style in "Facedown" and "Laydown", both had a nice flow to them, and Facedown had some really thoughtful fun lyrics

I hate the genre hip hop too, the attitude and the stealing/ sampling from old classics. Enough of this poison on MTV and VH1. Radio is poisened too by hip hop. Damn.

It's ignorant statements like this that gets on my nerves. Not all hip hop is bad and what's wrong with sampling? As long as they give the original artist credit and they actually used the sampling well, I could care less. And BTW, not all hip hop songs sample other music.

It;s not that i don't like Hip Hop, i haven't really liked any for the last 10 years with Jay Z being the exception (even he hasn't made anything descent since the black album) i just think P does other stuff alot better, even if you were to put all the good rap tracks on a cd it wold be very short, apart from Now, days Of Wild, Pussy Control, The P, Funky Design there really isn't much else to put on it.

So in a word NO!

It shouldn't be hard, after all all rap is some guy swearing a long to a drum machine. And for the videos wearing as much bling as possible, holding up a wad of money wearing basketball gear and having some scantily clad women dancing around an escalade with chrome dubs. I am sure Prince can find all of those things.
