I am curious to know if Princey's mama ever recorded her singing, either with or without her son, and if these recordings are / were accessable to the public, or if Princey used her vocals on his own material, since it is her face on the background of my favorite poster, that I got back in the day when I got my Precious Purple Rain Record.

or even if his mama and pappa recorded jam-stuff together before his birth with their little band.

Perhaps she sang lullabies for little baby Princey before he went into nappydreamy land.

maybe there are no recordings of her singing for whatever that is...also, i wonder if she has ever collaborated with her son...im guessing prince was more closer to his father than with her since he collaborated with him in the 80s

**also i would like 2 add this: it would be nice if prince and his sister tyka were to peform together on stage, i think it would be one of the most beautiful things he would ever do in his music career

I don't believe she ever collaborated with her son. He always gave his father credit when they worked on a song together. It stands to reason he'd do the same for his mother as well.

I saw his dad play with cornbread harris at the kaufman back in 97. About 20 people there, free popcorn, great date- sista with a betty boop doo and some big ole.....

Yeah I totally agree, since he in my opinion totally blew it with the late beloved michael jackson, some collaborations you just shouldn't be too proud to do - for the sake of the universe.

They share blood him and his sister ! I am not saying they should do a remake of 'scream' , though in funky style with a nice guitar solo would be interesting, but just DO something together,( if anything she should be the one included in his flow3r disc set, that would have have made the angels sing instead of the making the demons clap).

I wonder when she stopped singing, his mother, maybe when the father left, I could imagine it would be painful to continue when brokenhearted. And yeah he worked and travelled with his father, so maybe he didn't want to involve his mother, but if she sang like billie holliday, as I have read, he must have been eager to save that somehow, being the eccentric he is. Or maybe he was so mad at his stepfather he ccouldn't enjoy his mothers vocal, and just went and got tampons for her, when she asked him LOL

I know his pappa played the piano, and P was trapped for 14 days in the basement with this piano without food or water, or so the story goes....but did his pappa sing too ?

I recently posted a topic asking who the face on the poster was. Nobody who responded (I think 2 or 3 people) knew. I still want to know. I found no references to it on the internet after a few searches.
