Give the dude a sheet and a few hours and he'll play ANYTHING anyone is able to transcript to paper. Whether he's able to COMPOSE "classical" stuff (as in "modern baroque music" or whatever) is a totally different thing.

I think you have it backwards. There is no evidence he can read music, but there is evidence he can compose (or write) classical sounding stuff. He will throw in a few seconds of classical music like in Race "...why those before us hated each other..." or in the break to Undisputed.

But those are examples of him writing what he hears, not composing on a page, not reading off of a page, and not using techniques that would be demanded of classical musicians.

The closest he gets would be his vocals, his ability to mimic choirs. And from my experience, singers generally don't read nearly as well as other classical musicians. So I do believe Prince could perform classical music for voice, though he would not sound like Pavarotti.

Kamasutra is the first and only studio album by The NPG Orchestra, and was released in February, 1997 on cassette through direct order from 1-800 New Funk (with the full album repeated on each side). A CD release was included with the direct order edition of Prince's 20th full-length studio album, the fourth to be credited to . All eleven tracks were written or by , and all contain him playing most of the non-orchestral instruments, with Eric Leeds playing saxophone, horns by the NPG Hornz, and orchestra added by Clare Fischer's orchestra. The album is entirely instrumental, with repeated musical themes throughout, and was recorded between Spring, 1994 and 1996.
No singles were released, but The Plan had been released in edited form on Emancipation, with liner notes noting the forthcoming release of Kamasutra. In late 1997, the NPG Dance Company (led by Mayte) danced to the full Kamasutra album during the second act of their three-act Around The World In A Day Tour.

If I'm not mistaken this was the only 'Classical' style album that was done by Prince and as we can read it, Clare Fisher was who did the orchestration of it. So the answer would be 'No' he has 'not' done it (Classical Music). Or am I wrong?

I hate classical music!! Who cares if Prince can play it? It would never sell(well i take that back, it actually COULD sell better than is current stuff just out of curiosity cause it would take much to outsell his past few releases)
