Whoooah, there's some crazy punctuation.

I think we've just had it too good with the previous tours that the latest trend for just playing the hits seems a bit old. I caught some clips of various shows online (never know where to find full shows except musicology) and thT humour and energy always makes me smile...but even I thought him licking his guitar like a great big angry cock wouldn't work today.

I don't think there is anyone here that doesn't agree with you. But please put your commas and full stops after a word instead of in front, it is pretty annoying to read like this neutral

You mean you're gonna actually hear what we play tonight? You're not gonna make up the notes in your mind?

You know what, even I'm getting bored of the 'Prince has lost it' threads...only so many times you can repeat the same thing. I think we just need to accept that, if there's something we miss about Prince-gone-before...it ain't coming back whatever it is.

I've decided I'm going to relisten to his stuff because I've got stale listening to a choice few albums and the more recent stuff....so many gems I've forgotten that don't fit 'the hits' category

Seperating "fandom" from "albums", "shows" or "tours", I'm going to agree. I actually starting feeling it around the release of Lotusflow3r. Being a Prince fan changed after the Musicology tour. Not something I can put my finger on, really. There just wasn't as much excitement around the release of the albums that followed, or the Rio residency. I'd actually shorten it up a bit and say 83-04 were the best years to be part of Prince fandom (with a few frustrating years in the middle of that). But hey, 21 years (or more if you feel that way) of awesome is pretty dang impressive.

Before I get bashed about let me add that I still dig Prince and have stayed interested in his albums and performances. I actually like 20ten a whole lot more than I was expecting. But being a "Prince fan" just doesn't feel the way it used to feel (to me).

Im like you but my turning point was NPS etc...In fact the Prince that emerged the otherwise of the prince name fiasco was different to the one that went in...and surely that was his point...perhaps a happy Prince isn't a driven Prince or doesn't result in what we/some miss
