Actually, I remember being pretty shocked when I first heard it but now, I can't wait till 'that part' comes on. From what I can remember, it's there or thereabouts that the song seems to come to life and really jam hard.

In fact, when I heard Family Name for the first time, it reminded me of that jam at the end of LCD and I thought

"Add an E to Rap, and it spells Rape!" - well, that's about as close as what is happening here!!! How does anyone interpret that portion of the song as rape??!!! Its sex, and all the while Prince is giving us positive messages. This song is sexy, NOT creepy, joyful with some despair about the status quo, and most of all damn FONKY!!
