I was re-reading all 5 parts of my Prince Vs. WB: The Fans Lost article and all the lovely reader comments the other day, and I felt that it lacked a proper wrap-up/ending.

So now I'm working on a sequel. It will be Part 6 and will also serve as an Epilogue. The title is: Prince Is Dead!

It's sure to be controversial, ha, ha.

I am working on the research even as I write this. I'm thinking it will be done by the end of the week or early next week.

In the meantime, you can pass the waiting by catching up on the past installments. I've updated Ultimate Come with info about the unreleased Come EP and corrected the list of Chronological Come Recordings, and Ultimate Gold has had a mention of the 2002 Days Of Wild single added.

I have all the previous installments in my favorites list, they are the next best thing to my Vault book and my Uptown mags. A nice quick, informative reference, very handy.

An Ultimate Emancipation will be another great addition, look forward to it.

I really like the history of all of these articles/stories.

However, I wish they were more objective. The heavy bias really makes these more pedestrian and less than they could be...especially considering the amount of work that must have gone into them.

BTW, technically i think u should do a Child Of The Sun article, i always considered this album as being part of a "pre-Emancipation theme" trilogy alongside TGE and Exodus.

I just UPDATEd Ultimate Gold with mentions of 's lip-synched performances of then unreleased tracks on Soul Train and the World Music Awards in April and May 1994, plus of Listen 2 The Rhythm ending up as The Rhythm Of Your on Mayte's Child Of The Sun album in 1995.

Don't know how I could have forgotten about those three items to begin with.

Great news! Emancipation may well be my favourite Prince album so it will be nice to read your thoughts on the album. After hearing the Secret Chapter and some of the outtakes on Crystal Ball I started thinking that maybe Emancipation should have been a four disc set. (I'm probably in a distinct minority to think that)

I have no plans for a Mayte article, but there's now a mention of her album in Ultimate Gold Experience and there will be a mention in Ultimate Emancipation, too.

Yeah, that would probably have been too much for the general public to absorb all at once.
