For me, it's all about the music - albums, 12" singles, b-sides, experiments.. smile

Those are things I don't hear about being available anymore, but I'm sure I heard them still being made in vinyl format...?

I still have old cassette tapes but don't have anything to play them on (non Prince related).

And yeah, I've heard before that I people like the experimental stuff... so does that mean you like the instrumentals... weren't those experimantal?

I love the 1980-1988 period because the music was off the hook very diverse the band members were really interesting characters and there was also the protege groups.

Prince had a little world revolving around him. the Mystery the long versions and b sides the look

Wherever Prince is...that's the best era!! So as long as he is around, I'm happy!! My world revolves around him biggrin

OK, but I LOVED the Purple Rain era, mainly because that cd is so amazing and the movie was amazing! It was also the beginning of my love for him, so...

But in all honesty, every era has its positives, the negatives are irrelevant!

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

1978-1984

Very current sounding for the years in which the albums were released (back when current sounding was actually a good thing) and the songs didn't sound out of place played inbetween the other R&B artists of that era. At the same time, very much a sound of his own also.

Andy is a four letter word.
