Or..... someone who heard something from somebody that directly worked on the album and has been asked to work on ideas for a re-release.
Again, this is nothing but random speculation.
Actually, it isn't, since that original someone happens to be me. |

It's OK to have low expectations.
But let's keep in mind that every official album Prince has ever made has been available in the US.
Trust me - that's not about to change. |

Let's see -
Unofficial source
Information that has had no official mention
Information re: album that is 2+ months old (historically, this is "old" for prince)
I could have walked up into this thread and said, "Trust me, 20TEN is going to be released as a 2 CD set with Roadhouse Garden later this year. There's evidence to support this." and been just as accurate as you.

1.The source is FAR from being unofficial. In fact, next to Prince and his trio of backing vocalists this person has more involvement with 20TEN than anyone. You can't get any more official than that.
2. No official mention? WELL NO SHIT SHERLOCK. If there had been "an official mention" then we obviously wouldn't be talking about this in the first place.
3. Both the Lotusflow3r set and MPLSOUND as an individual album were released in France through the label Because Music, ALMOST SIX MONTHS after the US release. So there goes your third point.
So no, you couldn't be as accurate as me, because you haven't discussed this with someone who worked on the album, and I have.

Read a dictionary. Cryptic is defined as something with "a hidden meaning" or "mystifying".
Neither of those definitions apply. What exactly is cryptic about me saying I've had a direct conversation with someone who worked on the album, and said person has been at Paisley Park recently working on something to do with the same project?
Don't get pissy with me just because I shot down your shit theory of Prince considering an album old after 2 months, when just last year it took him 6 months to release a record in Europe after releasing it in the US.
He also released a single from MPLSOUND in Europe and sent promo CDs to radio at the same time as the album release, and commissioned new remixes for it.
Seriously some of you US fans need to fucking relax. So it's been 2 months and the album isn't out in the US yet. Big deal. And that's somehow supposed to indicate that he's moved on already, despite me directly telling you otherwise from someone that worked on the album and is working on the US release? Believe it, or don't. It makes no difference to me.

English is my first language. I am well aware of what cryptic means. And your "somebody who did something with someone told me something about someone's something" jive is cryptic at best. If you shouldn't be running your mouth about shit because the person who told you either 1) didn't want you to or 2) would get in trouble for leaking information, then STFU and calm down with your baseless assertions. |

Too many "somebodys" and "somethings" in your post. Let me break it down for you, son.
Person A worked on the album and I asked him for information.
Is that so hard?
I never said I shouldn't be running my mouth, and I'm HARDLY going to "get in trouble" since the person actually HINTED PUBLICALLY MORE THAN ONCE about the same shit I asked them about it. It doesn't even take more than a few brain cells for anyone to figure out who I'm talking about.

perhaps he's recording a decent second half to the album since anything after 'lavaux'
is seriously flawed. the whole thing feels more like an ep with some bsides and outtake
material tagged onto it. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps |

Militant I hope you're right. The album as it was released overseas is mediocre at best. Prince working on improving the album for U.S. release would be nice. Somehow I managed to get two copies of 20ten, one part of the newspaper, the other attached to Rolling Stone, and one was more than enough. I'd still buy the U.S. release if there's a possibility of improvements/additions to it.

I hope it does get a release in the US for the following reasons...
1. It will hopefully stop a lot of Americans bleating like babies that Prince does not care about the US anymore.
2. It will hopefully stop the other Americans who are pretending that they think the album is shit, and that they do not care about it because of the lack of a US release.
3. Hopefully if it does get a US release it will be in better packaging than the card sleeve that Europe got.
Though on reasons 1 and 2 i don't hold out much hope.
Good day to you all.

I just ordered the newspaper and had it delivered to my house a month or so ago...it was only 4 or 5 dollars....sheesh....so simple....and there you have it...
As for an offical release of this here in the states....I would only want it if it came with the other rumored tracks on it...the free release was fine but anything in the future should come with something "new"....

Well you can order in Europe if you don't wanna wait for it. There you go that's your U.S. release.
And again if I have to shout it out, NOT ALL EUROPE got the album. Australia didn't get it, New Zealand didn't get it, Canada didn't get it, Brazil, Japan, Hong Kong, etc. |
