Help needed locating specific Prince-interview from 1996 I've been searching in vain for a decisive Prince-interview from 1996 for use in my Ultimate Emancipation-article, coming soon right here on prince.org. The interview is not on Prince In Print.
Here is IstenSzexy's description of it: "[SNIP]"
A lot of my Prince friends remember this interview, myself included, but no one seems to actually have it.
So now I am left with no other option than to turn to you for help, hoping one of you can possible help me with it. [Edited 8/23/10 5:25am] FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

'Oor' is a Dutch magazine so it would be more logical that it was Q. But I'm not totally sure about it. Formerly known as Parade @ HQ and formerly proud owner of www.paradetour.com

I'm leaning towards Q as well, but Virgo thinks it might have been Forbes. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

In the May 1995 issue of Q magazine there is an article on Prince and Warner Brothers. Maybe that is the one because Prince already spoke about Emancipation in 1995. Unfortunately I don't have that magazine.
The Forbes article you can read here: http://princetext.tripod....ion96.html [Edited 8/22/10 5:45am] Formerly known as Parade @ HQ and formerly proud owner of www.paradetour.com

Well, Virgo obviously remembered wrong, as it isn't the Forbes interview. And it isn't the May 1995 Q interview either. I have that one.
No, the interview I'm looking for was published in 1996. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

i'm quite sure that it was in "oor" magazine now. but the article did seem like it was simply copied from another interview, kind of like all those "20Ten" bits in different papers that all had the feel as if they came from a single source piece.

It was indeed from a syndicated interview performed by Martin Pearson in August 1996 and published in three different magazines in November - including Oor. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!
