I had to look thru my play list on my iPhone and I do have some of the albums listed for 'artist' as o(+> on the albums, I hadn't even given this a second thought. I need to put my copy of 20Ten on my iPhone and iPod ... Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

I mark it as Prince, easier to explain to the wife.
As far as iTunes goes...
I use the Grouping field to keep this stuff straight.
One grouping is Prince Associates One grouping is Prince Live One grouping is Prince Outtakes
Then I have 4 smart playlists:
Prince - where grouping contains "Prince" Prince Associates - where grouping = "Prince Associates" Prince Live - where grouping = "Prince Live" Prince Outtakes - where grouping = "Prince Outtakes"
iTunes has been WAY off when trying to find the covers for more obscure things like Vanity 6 and The Family... good times.

how does the "grouping" field work? i've read it's mostly to keep movements in classical or jazz works together, so i've never messed around with it | |
